The 17.17 Infrastructure is a concrete solution to SDG 17, target 17: “Encourage and promote effective public, public-private and civil society partnerships, building on the experience and resourcing strategies of partnerships.”
The 17.17 infrastructure is designed for and has proven successful in giving long-term value to people and organisations who are ready to create transformative change, making their cities healthier, cleaner and more sustainable.
This open source methodologyis an effective tool for cities who seek to empower residents and collaborate with communities and businesses to accelerate climate action. It combines a number of well known methods in a new and structured way to create a potent new approach to sustainable transformation.
The developed of the methodology started in 2015 and the infrastructure has been fully operational in Oslo, Norway since 2019. Since then, two other Norwegian cities and Mauritius have built projects based on the 17.17 Infrastructure.
